The jungles are peppered with godlings. Most of them have only minor powers, which don't extend very far, but a wise traveler is always careful not to give offense to a god in its own temple. Even if the god has no power, his followers might.

Not all of the gods of Cibola are Cibolan in origin. Some are refugees from other shadows, in the Golden Circle or even further.
